In its inaugural run June 25, 2025, the Blue Racer 5K is a hybrid terrain race featuring three 1-mile sections over the rugged 65-acre Pit property. Athletes can expect to run, carry, pull, push, climb and more in this challenging 5K, as the Pit’s woods, water, sand and slag offer natural and beautiful obstacles. Our coaches and athletes will augment with unique and challenging programming, making the most of the 3.1-mile trail for every athlete. Divisions for both the playful or serious athlete – and all ages are welcome. The Blue Racer 5K is for everyone! Consider taking it on with a group of family, friends or co-workers.
